We are pleased to announce that Melvin Lau has been promoted to the role of Principal Engineer.

Since joining us in March 2020, Melvin has played a key role in the delivery of the Hollandse Kust (Noord) offshore substation project, managing the project from its initiation to the successful completion of primary steel design to meet challenging procurement lead times.

Melvin has acted as lead engineer for the design of the integrated cable deck and secondary structures for the Hollandse Kust (Noord) and Hollandse Kust (west Alpha) projects over the last year, contributing a wealth of experience from his 11 years in offshore structural engineering. He continues to lead and support engineering activities across a range of offshore wind projects at SLPE.

In addition, Melvin has led several project bids on the company’s behalf and is responsible for SLPE’s business development strategy.
