Summary

Do you have a technical background in offshore wind foundations design? Do you have a strong aptitude for communication, collaboration, quick understanding of technical topics, problem solving, and leadership?

SLPE are seeking a developing Engineering Manager to support delivery of our offshore wind foundations design projects and to progress towards a project leadership role. It is anticipated that the candidate will join as a Senior Engineer or Principal Engineer, and will develop towards an Engineering Manager role over the next 6-18 months depending on experience.

Who we’re looking for:

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in offshore wind foundations design, either wind turbine foundations or offshore substation foundations. It is likely that you will have direct experience in one area of foundations design (primary steel, secondary steel, connections design, FEA, transport and installation analysis, etc) combined with an appreciation of the other technical disciplines involved in design projects. You will also have an awareness of the other packages involved in developing an offshore wind farm, such as fabrication and T&I.

You will have experience in a leadership position, such as leading packages of work, mentoring junior engineers, line management, etc. It is likely that you are developing a well-rounded understanding of offshore wind design projects, and are looking to combine your technical experience with aspects of project management, interface management, and client relationship management.

Given the breadth of experience desirable for this role, we anticipate that the successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years’ engineering experience and will have been working in offshore wind design for at least 3 years.

What we offer:

This role offers an opportunity to work with some of the best and brightest engineers in our industry, as part of a supportive and collaborative team dedicated to innovation and excellence. You will be able to develop your offshore wind experience, as well as your leadership, management, and technical skills, while working for a forward-thinking, friendly, and flexible team pushing the boundaries of offshore wind design.
